Mark Ginsburg, MD, FACS, FCCP, is a board-certified thoracic surgeon who specializes in lung cancer treatment, esophageal diseases, and other diseases of the chest. Backed by nearly 40 years of experience, Dr. Ginsburg works with patients at Rockland Thoracic & Vascular Associates, with offices in Pomona and Goshen, New York, as well as in New York Presbyterian in Washington Heights in Manhattan, New York, and in Englewood, New Jersey.
Dr. Ginsburg is the associate director of general thoracic surgery at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City and serves as chief of thoracic surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, New York. Dr. Ginsburg is also an associate professor of surgery at Columbia University Medical Center and surgical director of the diaphragm program and the lung-volume reduction program in New York City.
Dr. Ginsburg graduated in 1980 from Tufts School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, before completing his surgical residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York. He later completed a thoracic and cardiovascular fellowship.
Dr. Ginsburg has lectured extensively and published many articles on disorders of the diaphragm in professional journals. He is one of the few surgeons in the United States who performs pacing of the diaphragm.
